A multifunctional ultrathin flexible bianisotropic metasurface with miniaturized cell size

Abstract In this paper, a flexible bianisotropic metasurface possessing omega-type coupling is presented. The designed behaves differently when excited from either forward (port 1) or back 2) sides. It provides an absorption of 99.46% at 15.1 Gigahertz (GHz), illuminated port 1, whereas, on simultaneous illumination 2, it like partially reflective surface (PRS). Furthermore, the presented not only acts as in-band absorptive and 2), but also 97% out-of-band transmission 7.8 GHz. response remains same for both transverse Electric (TE) magnetic (TM) polarized wave any arbitrary linearly wave. Additionally, angularly stable oblique incidence up to 45º. proposed ultrathin with absorption, partial reflection properties can be used in Fabry Perrot cavity antenna gain enhancement radar cross-section (RCS) reduction passband stop-band filtering, conformal applications.
